DANTES is sunsetting the Academic Skills Training (AST) program on June 29, 2025, as a result of Defense-wide topline reductions. Sunset of the AST program includes elimination of the Online Academic Skills Course (OASC), available online and via the OASC mobile app. New registrants for the program are no longer allowed from March 31, 2025.

OASC focuses on preparing you with the academic skills needed to do well on standardized exams you’ll encounter in the military, like the AFCT, or those like the ACT or ACCUPLACER needed for college success.
